Candice and Jim Shelley celebrated their dream wedding at the home of Candice's dad (Mr. Johnson's) in Chuluota, FL on 12/5/2020. Approximately 30 close friends and family members arrived to the home and were directed to the front lawn for the ceremony. After the happy couple tied the knot everyone was invited to the cocktail hour for drinks and appetizers as I played a mix of tropical and country tunes. They also played a few lawn games like corn-hole and big block Jenga before they all found their seats at the reception tent as I lined up the 12 member bridal party for the grand entrance. Candice chose Higher Love by Kygo for the bridal party intros and Wagon Wheel by D. Rucker for her and Jim's intro. The first dance was to Forever To Go by Chase Rice then Candice danced with her dad to Daughters by John Mayer and Jim danced with his mom to Sweet Baby James by James Taylor. The toasts were given by Emilee (Matron of Honor), Tayler (Maid of Honor) and Cameron (Best Man). Bryan gave the blessing of the meals and the reception was under way. They all enjoyed a buffet style dinner dinner then the dance floor opened up for some dancing fun. Candice did provide me with a play list that included top 40, classic rock, country and 80s and 90s hits. Perfect mix of genres for this very energetic group of guests. As the evening progressed we did have a cake cutting ceremony and the garter/bouquet toss. Candice also requested High On A Mountain by Vince Gill for her grand parents and for all of the married couples. As I played I Don't Want To Miss A Thing by Aerosmith everyone gathered for a big sparkler send-off. Congrats to Candice, Jim and the entire Shelley and Johnson families.
Perfect day...perfect wedding!
