Alida and Matias Nora celebrated their wedding at a beautiful friends home in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on 10/7/2016. Even though Hurricane Matthew was threatening to hit us that weekend this entire wedding was held outdoor with no weather issues at all. It began with a beautiful ceremony on the front lawn then all of the approximate 50 guests made their way to the back of the house by the pool for the cocktail hour. I decorated the exterior of the backyard with 24 amber colored, LED, wireless up-lights and dance floor lights all provided by Eddie B & Company. As I was lining up the 24 member bridal party all of the guests gathered on the outskirts of the dance floor for the grand entrance. Alida chose Welcome To My House by Flo-Rida for the bridal party entrance and Turn Down For What by Lil Jon for her and Matias' entrance. The first dance was to Let Your Hair Down by Magic then Alida danced with her dad to Utterly Beloved by The Neville Brothers. The toasts were given by Isabel (maid of honor) and Cristian (best man) then Alida's dad Mr. Lambert and Alida's mom Hillary and step father Mr. Riposo gave the welcoming speeches and the prayer before the meals. Everyone found their seats and prepared for a buffet style dinner. Alida did provide me with a great play list that included top 40, latin favorites, classic rock, alternative and country. It was a perfect mix of genres for this fun group!! After dinner the dance floor filled up and they didn't stop dancing until the cake cutting. Alida and Matias chose Cake By The Ocean by DNCE for the cake cutting then everyone enjoyed the garter/bouquet toss before getting back to the dance floor. Because of the hurricane this wedding had almost a 90% chance of not happening! I am happy to say that this was an amazing wedding with a great group of friends and family members who were all so happy to see Alida and Matias begin their next chapter. Congrats to Alida, Matias and the entire, Nora, Lambert and Riposo families. You guys rock!!!
