Candy and Eddie Aponte were married on 5/20/2011 at Royal Fiesta in Deerfield Beach. At the cocktail hour I realized that this group was going to be lively. I had a conversation with Candy's mom, Eddie's mom and grandma and they were so exited that Candy and Eddie were finally married. The fact that the brides family was from Trinidad and the grooms family was from Puerto Rico was a great combination for dancing. As the guests entered the reception area I lined the bridal party up for the grand entrance. The bridal party entered to I Gotta Feeling by The Black Eyed Peas along with the bride and groom. Eddie and Candy danced to Marry Me by Train and half way through the song I invited the bridal party to join at the brides request. Candy then danced with her mom to Mama's Song by Carrie Underwood and Eddie danced with his mom to A Song for Mama by Boys II Men. After the 2 speaches by the best man and maid of honor everyone sat down for salads and main course. The highlight of the night was the group dances. We did the Cha Cha Slide, Electric Slide, The Cupid Shuffle and The Dollar Wine. Everyone joined in and enjoyed the dances. It was so heartwarming to see Eddie's grandmother Emilia(which is 90 years young) on the dance floor keeping up with everyone and enjoying herself like she did. Emilia gave me a big hug after wards and thanked me for making her grandsons wedding a memorable one. These 2 families gravitated to me like if they knew me for many years. That made me feel so comfortable and it just added to my appreciation for them. The last song for the evening was Save The Last Dance for Me by Michael Buble. Everyone gave Candy and Eddie a big send off!!! They are heading to Hawaii for their honeymoon. Good Luck guys!!!!
The staff at Royal Fiesta once again did an amazing job the entire night. And I want to thank them for making everyone, not just the bride and groom, feel special.
