Good Day Bloggers!
DJ Gregg is at it again with another installment of the Wedding Blog! Today's episode brings us to the Royal Fiesta in Deerfield Beach. Robert and his team do a wonderful job!
As the guests arrived, I was asked to play some funky cocktail music. So, I played some smooth EDM music. To set a South Beach Vibe.. They were also greeted to a room bathed in Violet LED up lighting provided by Eddie B & Company.
When it was time to introduce the bridal party, I used TI "Bring Em Out". Then I introduced Richard and Mindy. They immediately went into their first dance. This was very special, as it was performed by one of their friends who is a talented violinist. He brought along a great guitarist and they played the first dance. A great rendition of "Back At One".
After that I invited all of the family on both sides up for pictures. This payed homage to the Vietnamese traditions and culture that Mindy has grown up with. First, her family, sisters, and their spouses and family. Then Richards parents, siblings, and his Aunt. They then posed for a family picture.
After that I invited Juan and Latasha, the Maid of Honor and Best Man to say a few words. The Richard's dad came up, welcomed everyone and proceeded to bless the dinner and the evening. It was very touching.
Dinner is served... I kept the mood upbeat. I played some contemporary tunes, light vocals, Jazz and even some mid tempo EDM.
After Dinner I asked Mindy to dance with her father. "Dance with my father" by Luther Vandross was used. I then asked Richard and his mom to dance. They chose "Perfect Fan" by the Backstreet Boys. After that, we got this party started!
This was a young, hype crowd. They really loved Hip hop, R&B, top 40 and Latin Music. I was also able to play some Vietnamese Cha Cha tunes. A great beat!!
After we danced for a little while, I proceeded to have Richard and Mindy cut the cake. I used "Sugar, Sugar" by The Archies to let everyone know that something sweet was about to happen! Once that occurred, I asked Mindy and Richard to do the garter and bouquet toss. It went over great! A lot of single people at this event!
Shortly after that, we got the party started again and danced the rest of the evening. It was really a great party and I wish Mindy and Richard a wonderful life together!
