Wedding Reception at Signature Grand

Yairene and Andrew James celebrated their wedding at the Signature Grand in Davie, FL on 1/20/2024.  The ceremony took place at a nearby church then all of the 150 guests were invited to the venue for the cocktail hour and reception.  I played a mix of tropical/reggae tunes while they all mingled and enjoyed drinks and appetizers.  Yairene and Andrew chose to not have a grand intro and went right into their first dace which was Nobody But You by Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani.  The toasts were given by Zulma (MOB) and Jaqueline (MOG) then Deacon Chris gave the blessing of the meals.  There were no parents dances so everyone found their seats and prepared for a buffet type dinner like only Signature Grand knows how to present it.  The staff performs a show where they serve the meals to everyone from the dane floor (cool stuff).  After dinner the dance floor opened up and I had a blast playing all of the fun genres that Yairene picked out.  I played Soul, latin favorirtes, funk, oldies, disco, reggae and ska.  Amazing energy all afternoon long and as I played the last dance they all made a big circle around Yairene and Andrew.  The closing song was I've Had The Time Of My Life from the Dirty Dancing Soundtrack then I played No Hay Cama Pa Tanta Gente by El Gran Combo.  Perfect way to end a great afternoon wedding.
