Wedding Reception at the 15th Street Fisheries

DJ Gregg here and I have a great story to tell you! On Saturday, I had the pleasure of hosting an event for Olin and Sandy. Their wedding ceremony and reception was held at the historic 15th Street fisheries in Ft. Lauderdale. It is a gem of a facility and is situated along the Intracoastal Waterway. 

As the guests arrived for the ceremony, I played some Neo-classics from the Vitamin String Quartet and the 2Cellos. The ceremony began with the Bridal Party walking down the aisle. I was asked to play "From This Moment" by Shania Twain. Then Sandy walked down the aisle. The ceremony was unique. They gave each other special vows and then were pronounced husband and wife! I played "Smile" by Uncle Cracker for the exit song. 

Cocktail hour started.  I played an eclectic mix of country, light rock and some standards. It set a nice tone for the rest of the evening.

Dinner service is starting and I keep the soundtrack fairly light. Again, I played an eclectic mix for an eclectic crowd. As soon as dinner ended, I invited Olin and Sandy to do their first dance. They chose "Unchained Melody" by The Righteous Brother. After that I invited the bridal party to dance. We used "Islands in The Stream" by Dolly and Kenny. Once that ended, I opened up the dance floor and the party was off!!! I played a great mix of 70's 80's and 90's as requested by Olin and Sandy. The party was moving along great! 

 We then proceeded to do the cake cutting service. I played "Cut The Cake" by the AWB.

After that, I started the dancing again and the party never stopped from that point on. 

As stated, it was a very diverse crowd of all makes and models and the music styles varied too. A very refreshing evening indeed!
