Wedding Reception at The Addison / Boca Raton

Erika and Matthew Anderson celebrated their dream wedding at the Addison in Boca Raton FL on a beautiful Sunday evening on 5/26/2013.  We were not hired for the ceremony or the cocktail hour, only for the 4 hour reception.  As all of the 120 guests were invited to the main ballroom for the reception, I lined up the 24 member bridal party for the grand entrance.  Erika chose We Are Family by Sister Sledge for the parents,  Let's Get It Started by The Black Eyed Peas for the bridal party and We Found Love by Rihanna for her and Matthew.  It turned out to be an amazing intro!! Erika and Matthew went right into their first dance which was God Gave Me You by David Barnes as the bridal party and parents joined them on the dance floor.   The happy couple decided to have the parents dances after dinner so the toasts were given by Megan (maid of honor) and Casey (best man).  Erika's dad gave a special welcome speech to everyone who attended and had a few loving words for his daughter and his new son in law.  The first of 2 courses was served and the wedding was in full swing.  Erika and Matthew did provide me with a play list that consisted of all top 40 hits from the 70's, 80's, 90's and today.  I had fun playing most of these songs during the evening especially the dance hits.  After the main course Erika danced with her dad to Cinderella by Steven Curtis Chapman and Matthew danced with is mom to What A Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong.  As the evening progressed we had a garter/bouquet toss, an anniversary dance and a cake cutting ceremony.  A few guests requested some group dances like the Cha Cha Slide, The Cupid Shuffle, The Wobble and Gangnam Style.  This was one of the more energy filled crowds I have played for.  Erika warned me that they were not going to leave the dance floor and she was right.  The last song for the evening was Save The Last Dance For Me by Michael Buble as everyone gave Erika and Matthew hugs and wished them good luck on their honeymoon.  Congrats to Erika, Matthew and the entire Heimbold, Allen and Anderson families.  Another amazing wedding at the Addison!!
