Wedding Reception at the "B" Hotel / Ft. Lauderdale

After a few years of renovation The B Ocean Hotel in Ft. Lauderdale was the venue for Terry and Maria Abrams wedding reception.  The B Ocean looks beautiful on the inside and out.  Terry and Maria held the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception indoors on the penthouse floor.  After the cocktail hour all of the guests were directed to the main ballroom for the grand entrance.  Terry and Maria chose to have only themselves enter the room to Let's Get Ready To Rumble by Jock Jams.  They also preformed a choreographed first dance to The First, The Last My Everything by Barry White.  Terry picked What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong to dance with his beautiful mother.  The maids of honor were Maria's sisters Grace and Carol (they are all triplets) and Terry's best man John and good friend Luis made 4 wonderful toasts to the happy couple.  The blessing of the Challah was given by Dr. Dobbs.  This 50 guest wedding had a laid back atmosphere just like Maria and Terry wanted it.  After the main course everyone gathered on the dance floor for the Hora.  Maria, Terry, Carol, Grace, Luis, John and a few other friends and family members were all hoisted up to the sky one by one.  Terry and Maria put a small list together of their favorite tunes for me to go by.  So there were a few hardcore dancers who really enjoyed the mix.   After the anniversary dance, cake cutting and garter/bouquet toss all of the guests were directed down stairs to the pool area to light up sparklers and take a huge group picture.  Soon after everyone came back up stairs to resume the dancing.  The song of the night was Rocky Top since Terry is an alumni of The University of Tennessee.  Go Vols!!!!  The last song of the evening was requested by Terry for everyone to bid him and his beautiful wife farewell.  The song was Save The Last Dance For Me by Michael Buble.  Excellent ending to the reception.  Congrats to Terry and Maria Abrams!  I hope you spend the rest of your lives Bailando Bailando!!!! (inside joke).  As for the B Ocean Hotel, it was a pleasure working there again after a few years of renovation.  New and very much IMPROVED!!! DJ Ray
