Carole and Eric Lachs tied the knot on a beautiful Sunday afternoon at the Bahia Mar in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on 1/20/2013. The outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour had live musicians that were hired separately by the bride and groom and are not associated with Eddie B & Co. We were hired for the reception only. And what a nice reception it was. After the cocktail hour all of the 170 guests were shuttled over to the hotel were the reception and grand entrance was to take place. Carole and Eric informed all of the vendors prior to the event, that the TLC program 4 Weddings would be filming for one of the up-coming episodes. This was my 3rd time DJing for a wedding that will be on the program. Exciting!! As I lined up the 16 member bridal party you can feel the excitement in the ballroom. The bridal party entrance song was Don't Stop The Party by Pitbull and the bride and groom entered to Everything Tonight by NeYo and Pitbull. Carole provided me with an mp3 for the firsts dance. Eric and Carole performed a well choreographed first dance that blew away the guests. Then in traditional Jewish fashion we performed the Hora. The maid of honor and best man gave the toasts then grandma Selma blessed the Challah before the meal. Everyone enjoyed food stations for the brunch that afternoon and towards the end of the meals, Eric and Carole thanked everyone for attending their big day then Eric's and Carole's parents made a few very heart-felt speeches that had everyone in tears. It was so obvious these people really love each other. Very special!!! Carole danced with her dad to Times of Your Life by Paul Anka then had all of the dads and daughters come out to the dance floor and join them. Eric also danced with his mom to Me and My Shadow by Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr. and had all of the moms and sons join them on the floor. As far as the music was concerned, Eric and Carole did something that I have never seen done. On the RSVP they asked all of their guests to write down 2 or 3 songs that they would like to hear at the wedding. They narrowed the list down to about 30 songs and let me decided how and when the songs would be played. It worked out great because some songs were played during the meal and some were played for dancing and fun. The highlight was performing the Cha Cha Slide, the Cupid Shuffle and of course Gangnam Style. Very fun crowd with lots of energy!! The cake cutting and garter/bouquet toss was complete towards the end of the event. I forgot to mention the candy station that was available all afternoon with a wide selection of all types of candies for the guests to enjoy. The last song was Wonderful Tonight by Eric Claption and the wedding was a complete success!!! Eric and Carole were so happy and I was glad to be part of their big day. Congrats to Eric, Carole and the entire Pfeffer and Lachs families. Perfect day for a wonderful couple!! Special thanks to the staff at the Bahia Mar for their commitment to excellence. See you on another episode of 4 Weddings!! DJ Ray
