Wedding Reception at the Bahia Mar Resort and Marina

Jessica and Davin Holmes celebrated their wedding at the Bahia Mar Resort and Marina in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on 12/31/2021.  Approximately 100 guests arrived to the Bahia Mar that Friday early evening and were directed to the dock side ceremony to witness the happy couple tie the knot.  After the ceremony all of the guests were invited to the 2nd floor of the venue for the cocktail hour.  I played a mix of tropical tunes while they all mingled and enjoyed drinks and appetizers.  I also took the time to decorate the ballroom with 20 amber, LED, wireless up-lights and dance floor lights all provided by Eddie B & Company.  As all of the guests entered the ballroom I lined up the 15 member bridal party for the grand entrance.  Jessica chose Wasted by Tiesto for the bridal party intro song as well as for her and Davin.  The first dance was to XO by John Mayer then Jessica danced with her dad to In My Life by The Beatles and Davin dance with his mom to Time After Time by Iron & Wine.  The toasts were given by Ian (best man) and Devin (matron of honor) then all of the guests found their seats and prepared for a 3 course meal. Jessica did provide me with a play list that included top 40, country, classic rock and 80s and 90s dance hits.  Perfect mix of genres for this very energetic and excited group of guests.  The cake cutting was performed as the evening progressed but everyone was waiting for the clock to strike 12.  The dance floor was packed when we finally did the count down and 2022 started off with a bang.  I played until 1am and the last song for the evening was Closing Time by SemiSonic.
