Wedding Reception at the Bahia Mar Resort / Fort Lauderdale

Lindsay and Spike Friend celebrated their wedding at the Bahia Mar Hotel and Marina in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on 3/24/2018.  The ceremony and cocktail hour music was provided by a string quartet.  Before all of the approximate 120 guests were invited to the ballroom for the reception, I decorated the ballroom with 24 amber colored, LED, wireless up-lights and dance-floor lights all provided by Eddie B & Company.  As the guests entered the ballroom I lined up the 20 member bridal party for the grand entrance.  Lindsay chose Fireball by Pitbull for the bridal party intros and Crazy In Love by Beyonce for her and Spike's intro.  The first dance was to Magic by Colbie Caillat then Lindsay danced with her dad to My Girl by The Temptations and Spike danced with his mom to Stand By Me by Ben E. King.  The toasts were given by Nicolette (maid of honor) and Dino (best man) then everyone found their seat and prepared for a buffet style dinner.  Lindsay did provide me with a great playlist that included top 40, 80s and 90s hits, hip-hop and group dances.  Perfect mix for this fun group of guests.  After dinner we got the dancing started with the Hora.  Everyone was on the dance floor for this fun Jewish tradition.  The cake cutting and garter/bouquet toss were performed as the evening progressed but the dance floor was the place to be.  The last song for the evening was Closing Time by Semisonic and that put a bow on an amazing Saturday night wedding.  Congrats to Lindsay, Spike and the entire Friend and Piontkowski families.
