On Saturday, July 12, 2014 Juan and Stephanie Mansilla celebrated their wedding day at the Boca Pointe Country Club. As the guests arrived for cocktail hour I played some background music which consisted of some 80's, 90's and John Tesh. The guests were invited into the main dinning room for the grand entrance. For the parents entrance I played "Star Trek Fanfare", and for the bridal party entrance I played "Hai Jo" from the Slum dog Millionaire's soundtrack. As I introduced for the very first time Juan and Stephanie the new Mansilla's, they entered to "I Walk Beside You" by Dream. Their first dance was to Rascal Flats "Bless The Broken Road". As the song was nearing end the bridal party joined in to celebrate the first dance. John Getejanc Stephanie's father escorted Stephanie to the center of the dance floor for the father/daughter dance. The song Stephanie chose for her father was "Because You Loved Me" by Celine Dion. Juan made his way to to center of the dance floor with his mother Clara Mansilla for the mother/son dance. The song Juan chose was by Gbmez y Villegas, Amlmonos.
Dinner was being served so I played some light background music. It was time for the maid of honor Christie Getejanc and best man Herbert Suarez to make their toast honoring the bride and groom. At the end of the toast there was a surprise by Juan for his new wife. He serenaded her with two songs, "Some Enchanted Evening" and "Four Seasons". He wasn't done, he had some of his friends join him to sing "Seasons Of Love" from Rent.
After that the party began and I played mix of Latin music, Adult Contemporary, Top 40, 80s, and 90s that kept the dance floor hopping. It was time for the garter removal & toss. The newlyweds chose "December 1963 (Oh What A Night)". For the bouquet toss I played "Chapel Of Love". Then I invited all the couples to the dance floor for a couple of love songs. Which flowed nicely into the cake cutting ceremony. The song "All Of Me" by John Legend is what they chose. It was time to pump up the dance floor I played a mix of House, Latin House, Merengue, Bachata, and Top 40 for the final hour. It was a great reception. Have fun in Vegas baby!! DJ/MC Jerry Otano!
