On Saturday June 25th, 2011 I played for Carolyn & Joshua Selwocki and 100 friends and family members at the Boca Raton Country Club. The evening started with a cocktail reception which I provided a variety of Jazz music for all to enjoy while they socialized and mingled. To start the reception I introduced the bridal party to "Love Train" by The O'Jays and Carolyn & Joshua made their grand entrance to "Planetary Go" by My Chemical Romance. The first dance was "Hold On" by Michael Buble followed by a bridal dance "Sway" also by Michael Buble. Later I dedicated "Just The Way You Are" and "Don't Let Me Lonely Tonight" to the bride and grooms parents. Carolyn danced with her father to "Have I Told You Lately" by Rod Stewart and Joshua danced with his mother to "You'll Be In My Heart" by Phil Collins. After a humorous and memorable toast by best man Sean Smith, dinner was served and I played a lot of easy listening tunes from the 60's and 70's. The playlist was loaded with classics from The Beatles, Righteous Brothers, E.W.F., Glenn Miller, Village People, Dion, Barry White, The Foundations, The Clash, B-52's, Chris DeBurgh, Miami Sound Machine, Queen, Kiss, Cyndi Lauper and many more. The last hour I played some the top club hits of today and ended the evening with Margaritaville (by request), since Carolyn & Joshua were off to Key West for their honeymoon. They chose "Recipe For Love" by Harry Connick Jr. for their cake cutting song, and Joshua removed the garter to "Legs" by ZZ Top, while Carolyn tossed her bouquet to "All The Single Ladies" by Beyonce. This was a group of people that danced more than 2 hours straight and enjoyed the evening as I took them down memory lane. Thanx Carolyn & Joshua for making me a part of your special day, I enjoyed playing for you and your guests......DJ/MC Eddie B!
