On Sunday July 3rd, 2011 I played for Lori and Jarod Clarke and 94 family members and friends at the Bridge Hotel in Boca Raton. The evening started with a cocktail hour for which I played a variety of adult contemporary tunes. Then I introduced the bridal party to "I Got A Feeling" and the newlyweds to "Call Me The Breeze" a classic Lynyrd Skynyrd song. The atmosphere was party all the way and when the cheering & clapping finally stopped Lori & Jarod danced to "You and Me" by Lifehouse. Lori danced with her father to "Have I Told You Lately" by Van Morrison and Jarod danced with his mother to "I Hope You Dance" by Lee Ann Womack. During dinner Lori requested I play a special CD she made, it was filled with timeless classics from the 50's & 60's. I later dedicated a song to Lori's parents "My Heart Stood Still" by Rod Stewart, and a song to Jarods' mother Mary Lou, "Hello Mary Lou" by Ricky Nelson. After dinner I started out with some memorable wedding classics such as Old Time Rock N Roll, Brown Eyed Girl, Sweet Home Alabama, In The Mood, We Are Family, and Love Train. I also added some of Lori's favorites from todays top 40, such as Club Can't Handle Me, Just Dance, Raise Your Glass, Fireworks, and Rockstar. Later I dedicated "Bartender" by T-Pain from Jarod to Lori, who is a bartender. They cut their wedding cake to "Pour Some Sugar On Me" and Jarod removed the garter to "The Stripper", while Lori tossed to her bouquet to "Single Ladies". We ended the evening with "Wonderful Tonight" by Eric Clapton and then Dirty Bit (Time of My Life). I had numerous guests come to me and compliment the music selection and the mix I played. The dance floor was active the entire evening. Once again Congrats to Lori and Jarod who are honeymooning in Key West.....DJ/MC Eddie B!
