Melissa & Jarrod Hess celebrated their wedding at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on 11/16/2019. The ceremony took place at a nearby church then all of the approximate 100 guests were invited to the center for the cocktail hour and reception. I played a mix of tropical tunes at the cocktail hour while everyone mingled and enjoyed drinks and appetizers. Myself and Chris also took the time to decorate the ballroom with 24 amber, LED , wireless up-lights, dance floor lights and the "Open Air" photo booth all provided by Eddie B & Company. As the guests entered the ballroom I lined up the 12 member bridal party for the grand entrance. Melissa chose Higher Love by Kygo as the grace entrance song for the entire bridal party including her and Jarrod. The first dance was to Yellow by Cold Play then Melissa danced with her dad to When You Need Me by B. Springstein and Jarrod danced with his mom to Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton. The toasts were given by Adam (father of the bride), Jordan (best man) and Stephanie and Jennifer (maids of honor) then all of the guests found their seats and prepared for a 3 course meal. Melissa did provide me with a play list that included top 40, classic rock, country, alternative and 90s hip-hop. What a fun group of excited guest I got to party with that night. The dance floor filled up very quickly after dinner and they kept the energy going all night. There was no garter/bouquet toss but they did take the time to cut their beautiful wedding cake. The fun continued as the evening progressed then all of the guests gathered on the dance floor with the happy couple for the last dance. Melissa chose Closing Time by SemiSonic to end their perfect day!!
Congrats to Melissa, Jarrid and the entire Hess family.
