Wedding Reception at the Cheeca Lodge / Islamorada

Demi and Caesar Urquiola celebrated their wedding at the Cheeca Lodge in Islamorada Key, FL. on 5/2/2026. Approximately 100 close friends and family members arrived to the venue that Saturday afternoon and were directed to the beach-side ceremony. The music for the ceremony and cocktail hour were provided by a separate vendor, as we were hired for the reception only. As all of the guests found their seats at the reception area, I lined up Demi and Caesar for the grad entrance. They chose Bring 'Em Out by T.I. as the intro song then they danced to Beautiful Thinks by Benson Boone. Demi then danced with her dad to Butterfly Kisses by Bob Carlisle and Caesar danced with his mom to Because You Loved by Celine Dion. The toasts during dinner were given by Sam (FOB), Kirsty (MOH), Eddie (FOG) and CJ (BM). After dinner, the dance floor opened up to a 30 minute jam session by Demi's dad Sam and his college friends who had a band 30 years ago. I played a mix of genres like latin, top 40, country and a few old school hip-hop tunes then Demi and Caesar surprised everyone with a live Junkanoo Band that performed for 30 minutes. The cake cutting and bouquet toss were performed as the evening progressed along with a few requests for Latin Freestyle hits from the 80s. The closing song for the evening was Time Of Our Lives by Pitbul and that put a bow on a fabulous Saturday night Keys wedding.
