On Friday April 22nd, 2011 I had the pleasure of working with Cheryl and Colin Goodell along with 70 family members and friends from Jacksonville Florida. The ceremony music and cocktail reception was provided by a steel drummer, so I took over with introductions of the bridal party and dinner. After a first class buffet prepared by chef Peter and his staff (Lobster, Mahi Mahi, Caribbean Chicken, a Pig Roast and all the trimmings), a few toasts were given and then Cheryl & Colin danced to "Stand By Me" by Ben E. King. Cheryl, then danced with her father to "Just the Way You Are" by Billy Joel and Colin danced with his Grandmother to a Frank Sinatra classic "Dindi". The next song was a dedication to Cheryl's parents Debra and Thomas, it was their wedding song "Something" by the Beatles. After that the dance floor kicked in and I played everything from Coutnry to todays top club hits. As the evening progressed I got more modern with the music. Better Together by Jack Johnson was the song choice for the cake cutting ceremony and the final song was "Dirty Bit" by the B.E.P. This was a real fun and relaxed group of people and I enjoyed playing for them. I want to wish Cheryl & Colin all the best that life has to offer! DJ/MC Eddie B!
