Wedding Reception at the Coconut Cove Resort / Islamorada
On Saturday November 19th, 2011 I played at the world famous Coconut Resort in Islamorada the Florida Keys. Laura and Rodd Delmonte and 65 guests celebrated in paradise and enjoyed every minute of the entire evening. They got married at Saint Justins in Key Largo earlier that day and then the real party was at the Coconut Cove Resort. I introduced the newlyweds to a tropical/jazz song "Morning dance" by Spyro Gyra and for their first dance it was "Halo" by Beyonce. For their dinner our it was tropical all the way. I played a mix of music from the 80's to the present day. Some of their favorites included New Order, Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, Chili Peppers, Bon Jovi and Jack Johson. This couple wasn't into formalities so there were no parents dances or garter/bouquet songs. I also played a few salsa/merengue tunes to keep the in-laws happy. We ended the evening with "Better Together" by Jack Johnson and everyone was still on the dance floor to congratualate the newlyweds!
