On Tuesday, June 28th, 2011 I played for another destination wedding at the world famous Coconut Cove Resort in Islamorada the Florida Keys! Rhonda and Aaron Millar along with 22 family members and friends made the trip from Michigan to be wed in paradise! The evening started out with a ceremony on the beach performed by owner/operator Mr. Paul Bates and music by Mr. Bob Lyons on steel drum, and continued for the cocktail reception. I started with a formal introduction of just the newlyweds and from there dinner was served, and toasts were presented towards the end. Then I invited Rhonda, Aaron and their guests to the Tiki Hut for their first dance "The Day Before You Go" by Rascal Flatts. Followed by by the father/daughter dance,"My Wish" by Rascal Flatts and the groom/mother dance, "Song For Mama" by Boyz II Men. The dancing started immediately and continued until the very end at 12:45 AM. I was amazed how such a small group of people danced and partied together with no breaks for 2 plus hours. The playlist was well balanced with everything from the B.E.P.'s, Usher,Train, Jack Johnson, AC/DC, The Beatles, Lady Gaga, Van Morrison Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Cupid Shuffle, Heavy D & The Boyz, to Kenny Chesney, Zac Brown Band, Sugarland, Brad Paisley, Jimmy Buffett, & Rascal Flatts. Aaron & Rhonda cut their cake to a Beatles classic "When I'm 64" and the final song was "Can't Help Falling In Love" by Ingrid Michealson. I wished the newlyweds well for the rest of their stay in Key West and Miami, and thanked them for the opportunity of being a part of their special day....DJ/MC Eddie B!
