Wedding Reception at The Coconut Cove Resort / Islamorada | Oct-2011

On Saturday October 29th, 2011 I played for Tara and Andrew Miller at the Coconut Cove Resort / Islamorada, The Florida Keys. I provided music for the reception only, ceremony & cocktail reception were entertained by Steel Drummer "Cedric". Andrew was from Pittsburgh (my hometown), and Taras' family was from Washington State. I introduced the newlyweds to "Boogie Shoes" by KC & The Sunshine Band. After a buffet dinner which included a pig roast, I opened the floor for toasts, and there were some good ones! Tara and Andrew danced to "You Got What I Need" by Joshua Radin, and then Tara danced with her father to "I Loved Her First" by Heartland, and Andrew danced with his mother to "Find Your Wings" by Mark Harris. I started the dancing with "September" by E.W. & Fire, as requested by Tara. Then I played a mix of music from Van Morrison, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and AC/DC to Lady Gaga, LMFAO, and Pink. I also mixed in some reggae classics and a few ballads. For the cake cutting, "Count On Me" by Bruno Mars was the choice. The highlight of the evening was when I played the Steelers Fight Song for all of the Pittsburgh guests and it went over BIG!!!
