Good Day Bloggers!
DJ Gregg here with this weeks installment of the wedding blog.
On Saturday I had the pleasure of hosting the wedding reception for Chen and Kim.
It was held at the beautiful Coral Gables Country Club.
After the ceremony, all of the guests went to the hall for drinks and refreshments. I played some "Rat Pack Standards" tunes.
The main dining room was almost prepared. It looked great! The LED Lavender up lights provided by Eddie B. & company really set the room off nicely.
As the guests walked in I played some cool house music, to start a party mood.
The grand entrance of the bridal party arrived. I played "I gotta Feeling" by the Peas...Then Chen and Kim were introduced. I was requested to use "Happy" by Pharrell. The place went crazy! I then proceeded to play their first dance....or should I say DANCES! Chen and Kim started off with a slow tune; "Perfect" by Ed Sheeran. Then, about a minute and a half in, I transitioned to "Save The Last Dance" by Michael Buble'. They had a fully choreographed dance, all set up and ready to go! It went over great!.
I then played the father daughter dance "Forever Young" by Rod Stewart. After that, I played "I hope you dance" by LeAnn Womack for Chen and his mom. Very touching!!
The toasts followed shortly afterwards. They were said by the Maid of Honor Kathy and Best Man Errick. Then Kim's dad gave a few words of encouragement to the bride and groom.
Around this time I announced that the photo booth, also provided by Eddie B & Company was opening. Then dinner was served.
I played some light rock, standards, and smooth jazz.
After dinner I picked up the pace. I started off with a slow tune and immediately went into the celebration Hora! I was able to play music from all genres and styles.
It was a lot of fun!! DJ/MC Gregg Pellito
