Good Day Bloggers!
DJ Gregg here with this weeks installment of the WEDDING BLOG.
On Saturday I had the pleasure of being the DJ for Emily and John. They had their reception and party at the Country Club of Florida in Boynton Beach. This is an exclusive and private club. It was my first time playing there and it was very elegant.
Cocktails were served in the bar. I played some classic jazz per John's request. we are talking Miles Davis, Freddie Hubbard, Dexter Gordon and the like.
After that, I invited all of the guests to the main room. It was lit up with Royal Blue LED up lights provided by Eddie B. & Company. It really looked spectacular!
The introductions went flawlessly. I played "Marry You " by Bruno Mars for the bridal party as well as for John and Emily. I then asked all of the guests to find their seats. after that I invited Mary Lou Bedford to do the blessing of dinner. Now dinner was served. I played some old school tunes, light country and vocals. It went over great! After dinner, I invited Carly and TJ, the maid of honor and best man to their toasts and dedications. I then invited Paul, the Brides father to say a few words. Very touching. Next I invited john and Emily to dance the first dance. "Better Together" by Jack Johnson was requested. I then played the father daughter dance. "Dance with My Daughter" by Jason Blaine was used. Then John danced with his mom. They chose" "Simple Man" by Lynard Skynard. After dinner we really got the party started! This was truly a dancing crowd and the dance floor was packed all evening. I was able to play all different styles and genres of music. It was a really well rounded crowd. The cake was gut using "Cake by the Ocean" as background music. i'm happy to say that they were very nice to each other.. No messy cake! I then had the single ladies get up for the bouquet toss. i used "Get Lucky" by Daft Punk. Again, it went over very well. Shortly after that I picked up the pace again and got the party going! A great time for them and a great experience for me!
