Wedding Reception at the Crystal Ballroom

Carol and Paul McKenzie celebrated their wedding at the Crystal Ballroom in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on 12/7/2024.  This amazing wedding began with a ceremony where approximately 110 guests witnessed the happy couple make it official with a big kiss.  The cocktail hour took place on the veranda, and as I played a mix of easy listening jazz tunes all of the guests enjoyed drinks and appetizers.  When it was time for the grand entrance, I lined up the 14 member bridal party.  Carol chose We Found Love by Rhianna for the bridal party intros and I Wanna Dance With Somebody by Whitney Houston for her and Paul's intro.  The first dance was to Endless Love by Lionel Richie and Diana Ross then all of the guests found their seats and prepared for a 3 course meal.  The prayer before the meal was given by Pastor Tony then several family members gave toasts.  The dance floor opened up after the meals and it was a dance party till the end.  I played a mix of heavy reggae tunes, soca and calypso for all to enjoy.  They did have and cake cutting ceremony and a dessert station along with a bouquet toss (no garter).  The closing song for the evening was Before I Let Go by Frankie Beverly and that put a bow on a nice Saturday afternoon wedding at Beach Place.
