Wedding Reception at the D'Class Banquet Hall / Miami

Nicole and Alberto Valdes celebrated their wedding on 5/18/2012 at the D'Class Banquet Hall in Miami FL on 5/18/2012 with a wonderful reception and cocktail hour. As all of the 120 guests arrived from the church ceremony, they were greeted with cocktails and appetizers mixed with a few tropical tunes. Everyone seemed to be very excited and could not wait to see Alberto and Nicole enter the room. Towards the end of cocktail hour I lined up all 26 members of the bridal party for the grand entrance. The parents entered first to We Are Family by Sister Sledge, then the bridal party entered to Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO and finally Nicole and Alberto entered to We Are Young by Fun. The place was rockin' and very loud as the happy couple entered the room. Nicole and Alberto chose Always and Forever by Luther Vandross as the first dance. Soon after Nicole danced with her father to a mix of I Loved Her First by Heartland and Butterfly Kisses by Bob Carlisle, then Albert danced with his mom to Amor de Madre by Victor Manuelle. As a surprise Nicole had a special dance with her brother Chris to Slipping Through My Fingers from the Mama Mia Soundtrack. The toasts were given by (matron of honor) Alina, (best man) Dennis, (Alberto's cousin) Miguel and (Nicole's dad) Felix. Nicole's maid of honor Ashlie then surprised everyone by singing her version of I Turn To You by Christina Aguilera. Everyone loved it!! Pastor Abella blessed the food and the first of two courses was served. Alberto is of Cuban descent and Nicole is of Puerto Rican and Columbian descent so for me the music choices were easy. They did not provide me with a song list but told me to make sure everyone gets a chance to dance. After dinner I mixed it up with top 40, merengue, salsa, cumbia, bachata and some classic disco. It work perfect for the older crowd as well as the younger crowd. The party continued as Nicole and Alberto cut their beautiful wedding cake and performed the garter/bouquet toss. This was a magical night as everyone danced all night and especially to the last songs of the evening which were Last Dance by Donna Summer and I've Had the Time of My Life from the Dirty Dancing Soundtrack. Great way to end the evening!! Congrats to Alberto and Nicole Valdes and also to the Avello, Valle and Valdes families. Thank you for making me feel like family (especially Nicole's dad Felix). DJ Ray
