Good Day Bloggers!
DJ Gregg here with this weeks installment of the Wedding blog. On Saturday I was at the Delray Sands Resort. A great venue right on the ocean!
The ceremony was held on the beach and it was a very mild day.
After the ceremony, everyone came to the patio for refreshments. i was asked to play some standards and light vocal tunes.
After the cocktail hour, I invited all of the guests into the main room. It was decorated beautifully with LED amber colored up lights provided by Eddie B. & Company.
The music was funky and the mood was fun...
I lined up the bridal party for intros. The song requested was "I Gotta Feeling" by the Black Eyed Peas. Then Mary and Nathan entered the room with "Forever" by Chris Brown.
The first dance came next. I played "Take your time" by Sam Hunt. I then proceeded to do the father daughter dance. I used " Butterfly kisses" into "The Macarena"! They had a special routine planned. It was really upbeat and funny!
Then Nathan danced with his mom. They also changed it up a bit. "Mother" by Danzig was first, then "The man you have become" by No Limitz. It was really nice.
Then I asked them to be seated and asked the Maid of Honor, Megan and Best Man, Danny to come up and say a few words. They had great stories and touching moments about both our bride and groom.
Now dinner is served. I played some light vocal and standards per the bride and grooms request.
After dinner, I proceeded to get the party started. I was able to play a very large variety of music from all styles!
Top 40, Dance, Salsa, Merengue, Hip Hop, standards, country, etc.
You name it, I played it or at least something like it!
We then proceeded to cut the cake. I played "Truly Madly Deeply" by Savage Garden. The garter and bouquet toss was next...
"Hit me with you best shot" and Can't touch this" was used. It was really fun.
After that we danced again for the rest of the night!
