On Sunday, April 17th, 2011 I played for Cara and Richard Duquesne and 75 guests at the Embassy Suites in Deerfield Beach. The evening started off with a rain delay for the ceremony (performed by "Weddings by the Sea") out on the boardwalk. The skies finally and cleared and thier vows were exchanged, from here on it was good times! Cocktail hour was outside on the patio and Jimmy Buffet was their choice of music being big Parrot Head fans! Later I introduced the bridal party and Cara & Richard danced to "Just the Way You Are" by Billy Joel as their first dance. After a delicious buffet dinner Cara & her mother Carol got the party started with their version of "Sexy Chic". The place went wild! Carol was shaking it up like she was 20 years old again. From there I went into "We Are Family" and invited both sides of the family to join in. Then Richard danced with his mother to "In My Life" by The Beatles. I played a wide mix of music for this group and later Cara & Richard cut their cake to "Ain't That A Kick In the Head" by Dean Martin. We ended the evening with Andre Bocelli's "Time To Say Goodbye". The newlyweds are off on a Caribbean cruise on the Oasis of the Seas. Congrats and all the best to Cara & Richard....DJ/MC Eddie B!
