Wedding Reception at the Embassy Suites Hotel / Deerfield Beach
Hello Party People!!!
What an exciting event at the Embassy Suites in
Deerfield! I was able to DJ the reception of Mr. Alex and Mrs. Karin Lasassier,
it was a quaint affair but they partied and dance like there was no tomorrow!!!
They had a fantastic steel drummer during the cocktail hour playing a fantastic
set of island music. Once the cocktail hour was over we did the announcement
party. We had a smaller bridal party so this was quick and fun. We played The
Black Eyed Peas; Let's Get Started In Here and Makayla the flower girl, Dani the
maid of honor, and Pierre the best man danced onto the dance floor and into our
hearts. Next we played Michael Jackson's; The Way You Make Me Feel, Alex and
Karin also danced into the reception and our hearts as well! Once the
announcement was over Alex and Karin danced there first dance as husband and
wife to Lucky by Jason Mraz. The song finished and we asked Alex to stay on the
dance floor and invited his mom Julie to do the Mother/Son dance. Julie and Alex
danced to Make You Feel Love by Adele and it was clear Julie was really happy
for her son Alex. Once we finished the dances we invited Dani and Pierre up for
some heartfelt toast. Dani's emotions kicked in and she struggled to hold back
her tears, however she did a wonderful job and put a lot of thought into her
speech and yes, she pulled it off. Pierre came on next and played the part of
the best man and comedian. His speech was funny at moments, heartfelt the next
and they both did awesome! Once the toast was over the staff was in full swing
putting out wonderful food. Shortly after dinner Alex and Karin took a moment
and personally walked up to each table and thanked them for coming and being a
part of there reception. Next we did the cake cutting ceremony to Chapel Of
Love; by the Dixie Cups. After the cake cutting Alex had to remove his wife's
garter, he seemed a little eager for this task and if you can give a trophy for
enthusiasm he would have taken first place. After the garter was removed Alex
threw it to the ONLY single guy there! Next we invited all the single ladies to
the dance floor to see who would catch the bouquet. So, Makayla, the four year
old flower girl caught it, this was too funny! Luckily for them I had a
solution, instead of putting the garter around the leg of Makayla we asked him
to make the garter a bracelet around her left arm. Once the formalities were
finished we went into our dance set. They danced all night and had a blast! I
want to give a heartfelt thanks to Alex and Karin also too wish them prosperity
and happiness! Peace out!!!
