The Embassy Suites in Deerfield Beach is always a great location for a wedding reception. And last Saturday October 12th, 2013 was no exception.
Rachael and Michael were married by the pool and then came into the main ballroom that was glowing with Royal Blue up lighting provided by Eddie B & Company to some soulful house music (that they requested).
It really set the tone for a great evening.
As the guests were trickling in, I could see them bopping their head and tapping their toes.
This showed me that they were ready to get up and DANCE!
Once everyone was settled in, I introduced the bride and groom.
They wanted to come in to "Satisfaction" by Benny Benassi. I then proceeded to play their first dance "Young and Beautiful" by Lana DelRay.
It was a remix that they requested and it was a fast song! A refreshing change from the standard slow love song.
I then invited all of the guests to dance.
It was a great beginning to a great evening.
Once I sat everyone down, Rachael and Mike stood up to say a few words.
Then Rachael invited her dad to dance "The Way You Look Tonight" by Sinatra.
I then invited Michael to escort his mom up to dance to "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong.
Once that was over, I picked up the pace and played dance music.
They were a very eclectic crowd. I was all over the map when it came to music. Dance, Disco, Standards, oldies, you name it I played it.
They even did a special routine to "Thriller". It was choreographed and everything!.
I then invited them to cut the cake and do the bouquet toss.
We then proceeded to get back into the party with some great club and dance music.
It was a very fun evening! DJ/MC Gregg Pellito
