On Saturday, August 2nd I was at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida for the wedding ceremony and reception of Elizabeth and Nicolas. The ceremony took place at 4:30pm in the lobby with a beautiful waterfall and bridge as a backdrop for their “I Do’s”. The groom along with his groomsmen and the bridal party walked to the altar to Yebba’s Heartbreak by Drake, followed by the bride who walked down the aisle to Beloved Memories by EyouX. Once the two were pronounced husband and wife, the new Mr. and Mrs. Charriez celebrated back down the aisle while singing Forever by Chris Brown. Following the cocktail hour on the terrace, I invited everyone into the reception room complete with 20 lavender wireless LED up lights and a custom gobo monogram, provided by Eddie B & Company. When it was time for introductions the bridal party stood in a large circle as we all welcomed Elizabeth and Nicolas to Party Like a Rockstar by Shop Boyz. The couple then embraced each other for their first dance to You and Me by Lifehouse as their elegant monogram featuring the couple’s names shone behind them above the sweetheart table. I then invited Elizabeth’s father to dance with his daughter to Hija Mia by Abraham Velazquez. Nicolas then walked his mother to the center of the dance floor for their mother son dance to Eric Burgett’s Born Yestrday. During dinner, I played a some easy listening pop while the guests enjoyed their meal and after some speeches, we decided to play a Shoe Game with the bride and groom as our contestants along with some incredible audience participation. The game was followed by a very entertaining bouquet toss as well as a garter football toss along with the NFL Fox Theme Song. The rest of the night was a party with a mix of current hip hop, latin, and other party favorites for all the guests to dance to. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Charriez for allowing me to be a part of your special day. It was an absolute pleasure partying with you and your family. - DJ ELOW
