Wedding Reception at the Executive Bay Club / Islamorada

This past Saturday, I had the opportunity to DJ Lauren and Nick’s wedding at Executive Bay Club in the Keys—and like many great events, it came with a few moving parts behind the scenes. That’s where experience matters most—being able to adapt in real time and deliver no matter what.

For their celebration, we provided full DJ services along with dance floor lighting and 20 uplights, which completely transformed the space and gave the entire venue that elevated, polished Keys feel.

Their ceremony took place right on the beach, overlooking the ocean with an incredible view of the Keys coastline. It was already a stunning setting, but the personal touches made it even more memorable. The flower girl had a very unique song choice that added so much character and charm, making the moment feel truly one-of-a-kind.

The first dances were incredibly sweet and meaningful. One standout moment was the groom’s mother-in-law and son dance—unexpected, heartfelt, and honestly just really fun to watch. Another unforgettable highlight was when the matron of honor performed a song she wrote for the couple, joined by the bride’s brother, with everyone singing along to “Rude” by MAGIC!—a moment that had the entire room smiling and fully engaged.

Once the dance floor opened, I locked into the crowd’s energy and built the night from there. From the first few songs, it was clear this group came ready to celebrate—packed dance floor, nonstop movement, and a vibe that carried all night long. The energy was so strong, Lauren and Nick even added an extra hour just to keep the party going.

In the end, it was everything you want in a wedding—fun, intimate, full of personality, and surrounded by amazing people. Lauren and Nick’s celebration was one to remember, and a perfect reminder that no matter the circumstances, the goal is always the same: create an unforgettable experience.
