Wedding Reception at The Forge / Miami Beach

Good Day bloggers!!!

DJ Gregg here with this weeks installment of the WEDDING BLOG....

On Saturday, I had the pleasure of being the DJ for Lisa and Rudy on their wedding day! The reception was held at The Forge on Miami Beach. This venue is a classic location and a staple in Miami!

The cocktail hour was held out in the courtyard. It is beautiful and flanked by huge shade trees. I kept the mood light playing some funky background music. The guests enjoyed some gourmet hor'dourves while waiting for Lisa and Rudy to arrive. The atmosphere was festive and inviting.

After the cocktail hour, I invited the guests into the ballroom. It looked great, decorated with flowers and roses. The photo booth provided by Eddie B. & Company was also set up and ready to go. Jerry did a great job as always!.

To introduce the bridal party, I was asked to play" Love's Theme" by Barry White. Then Lisa and Rudy entered with "Turn Down For What" by DJ Snake and Lil Jon.

The room ignited with applause and everyone rose to their feet! I then asked Rudy to take Lisa's hand and escort her to the center of the dance floor.

Their first dance was " Right Down The Line" by Gerry Rafferty. After a thunderous applause, I invited Lisa to dance with her dad. They chose "I Loved Her First" by Heartland.

I then invited them to take a seat. during this time, Josh, the best man was getting prepared for his special speech. I introduced him to "My Pony" by Ginuine. All at once, the room thundered with applause and laughter! Josh was dressed like a Chip N Dales's dancer. (G-String and all). It was quite amusing and Rudy and Lisa Loved it! I then asked Katrina, the Maid of Honor to say a few words. Shortly after that we started our dinner service.

I played some special requests for Lisa and Rudy, including some old school tunes, by Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, Stevie Wonder and Earth Wind and Fire.

As soon as dinner was over, I got the party started..

Everyone was ready to go! It was a really fun crowd and the dance floor was packed the entire evening.

I was able to play music from all genres and eras. The crowd especially liked top 40, classic rock, and Latin Music.

But what really hit the sweet spot was the Latin Music!

It was a mixed crowd and everyone was having a great time.

I then invited our newlyweds to cut the cake... I played "I Would Do Anything For You" by Foster The People. Shortly after that I did the Bouquet toss. I played "Girls, Girls, Girls" by Motley Crue.

It went over great and it was a lot of fun.

Now, I got back into the party and we danced the rest of the evening!

It was a really great party and I with Lisa and Rudy a wonderful life together!
