Wedding Reception at the Grande Oaks Country Club

Chrissy and Alex Rodriguez celebrated their wedding at the Grande Oaks C.C. in Davie FL on 11/10/2012.  This was another amazing wedding that I had the privilege of working.  These 2 families had great energy all night long.  The ceremony took place at a church near by then all 120 guests arrived at the Grande Oaks C.C. soon after for the cocktail hour.  The main ballroom was decorated with lavender color up-lights that were provided by Eddie B & Company along with LED dance floor lights that I controlled during the event.  As the guests entered the ballroom, I lined up the 20 member bridal party for the grand entrance.  Chrissy chose I Gotta Feeling by The Black Eyed Peas for the parents to enter, Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO for the bridal party and Gangnam Style by Psy for her and Alex to enter.  The first dance was Wanted by Hunter Hayes then Chrissy danced with her dad to Time of Your Life by Paul Anka and Alex danced with his mom to Your Song by Elton John.  Alex and Chrissy also made a special request to dance with their siblings Kylie and Richard.  Rachel the matron of honor and the 2 best men Roger and Eric made 3 hilarious toasts for the happy couple then Uncle Bob gave the prayer before the meal.  Alex and Chrissy provided me with a short play list that included top 40, disco, classic rock and country music that was perfect for this crowd.  I also took plenty of requests as the night went on. Towards the end of dinner everyone gathered around the dance floor to view a photo montage that was put together by Chrissy's sister Kylie.  Also very funny and a great job by Kylie.  After dinner the dance floor was the place to be.  They danced literally for the rest of the event.  The energy was incredible.  We did pause for the cake cutting, the garter/bouquet toss and the anniversary dance and then it was back to dance floor until the end.  It was great watching these 2 families enjoy themselves the way they did.  Weddings like this is why I am so grateful that I am in this industry.  Congrats to Alex and Chrissy and to the entire Gonzalez and Rodriguez families for a memorable wedding.  Thanks also to the staff at the Grande Oaks C.C. for their professionalism and attention to detail.  DJ Ray
