Wedding & Reception at the Grateful Palate

Olga and Greg Ditmer celebrated their dream wedding at the Grateful Palate in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on 12/29/2023.  The ceremony took place outside on the dock over-looking the inter-coastal water ways.  Approximately 60 close friends and family members witnessed a perfect ceremony then they were all invited to the cocktail hour for drinks and appetizers.  I played a mix of smooth latin jazz for all to enjoy while they mingled and posed for pictures with the happy couple.  As all of the guests found their seats in the ballroom, I lined up the 6 member bridal party for the grand entrance.  Olga chose We Are Family by Sister Sledge for the bridal party (parents) and Titi Me Pregunto by Bad Bunny for her and Greg's intro.  The first dance was to Stay With You by John Legend then Olga danced with her dad to La Negra Tomasa by Fruko and Greg danced with his mom to You To Me Are Everything by The Real Thing.  The buffet/station style dinner was ready to for all to enjoy and the reception was in full swing.  Olga did provide me with a play list that included top 40, heavy latin favorites, 80s and 90s dance hits and hip-hop.  Perfect mix of genres for this very energetic group of guests.  They danced the night away and only took a break for the cake cutting ceremony (no garter/bouquet toss).  The closing song for the evening was Crazy Little Thing Called Love by Queen and that put a bow on a great Friday night wedding.
