Bertha and John Iacovelli held their wedding reception on 10/1/2011 at the Hilton Marina on 17th st Causeway in Ft. Lauderdale. The event started with an indoor/outdoor cocktail hour with a live saxophone player providing the tunes. After the cocktail hour it was time for the grand entrance. The bridal party consisted of friends and family which totaled 21 people including bride and groom. The parents and grand parents entered to We Are Family by Sister Sledge, the bridal party entered to Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO and Bertha and John entered to Give Me Everything Tonight by Pitbull and Usher. The crowd was definitely rockin' as they all were on their feet as the bride and groom fist-pumped all the way to the middle of the dance floor. Bertha and John chose Estoy Enamorado by Thalia and Pedro Capo as their first dance. After that Bertha danced with her dad to Mi Nina Bonita by Ismael Miranda and then with her 4 brothers to La Familia by Pimpinela. It was great to see all the brothers enjoy a memorable moment with baby sister. John then danced with his mother to Perfect Fan by The Backstreet Boys. The toasts were given by maid of honor Kimberly then John's dad who was also the best man and Bertha's older brother David made a bilingual speech. It was hilarious how John's dad insisted that David translate every single word from English to Spanish. There were some words that David had no translation for so he had to add-lib. Very, very funny!!!! Bertha's dad Orlando also had some very nice words to say to the newlyweds. During salads and main course the music was a bit toned down and the guests got to dance to some love songs and oldies. After dinner the party jumped to another level. It didn't take long for the dance floor to get completely packed. John and Bertha provided me with a list of their favorite songs. The list consisted of dance, top 40, 70's, latin and pop. After the cake cutting and garter/bouquet toss there was approximately one hour left in the event. It was time for La Hora Loca(The Crazy Hour)!!!! This is when we hand out different props to all the guests and the music gets crazy. This was definitely the highlight of the evening. The last song of the evening was Save The Last Dance For Me by Michael Buble. Congrats to Bertha and John for a memorable and energy-filled evening. You guys couldn't have picked a better venue for your big day. The Hilton Marina has a wonderful staff with top notch service. Uplighting and L.E.D. dance floor lights provided by Eddie B & Company! Hope you enjoyed them, they did look amazing!!!!
