Wedding Reception at the Hilton Hotel 17th Street Causeway / Ft. Lauderdale

Melissa and Darren Fernandez celebrated their dream wedding at the Hilton Hotel Marina in Ft. Lauderdale FL on 11/16/2013.  The ceremony was held at a nearby church and the cocktail hour music was provided by a live musician (friend of the family).  Melissa and Darren hired us for the reception only.  They chose the 4 hour "Classic Package" with Eddie B & Company which includes 20-24 wireless, LED up-lights and dance floor lights.  The color they chose for the up-lights was lavender which made the ballroom look fabulous!!  As all of the approximate 110 guests were invited into the ballroom for the grand entrance and reception, I lined up the 22 member bridal party.   Melissa requested that the bridal party enter to Don't Stop The Party by Pitbull and that she and Darren enter to Marry You by Bruno Mars.  The first dance was to Make You Feel My Love by Adele then the happy couple combined the father/daughter and mother/son dances to Unforgettable by Nat and Natalie Cole.  The toasts were given by Kevin (best man) who actually had a slide show for everyone to see and by Christina (maid of honor).  Melissa's dad Mr. Kurt Newman also gave a welcoming speech then the first of 3 courses was served.  Melissa and Darren did provide me with a play list that included merengue, salsa, top 40, disco, 80's and 90's dance and rap.  This group was full of energy all night so you can just imagine how packed the dance floor was throughout the evening.  After the main course was when the dance floor really got hot.  One of the highlights of the evening was watching Darren and his boys dance to Apache by The Sugar Hill Gang (PRICELESS)!!  They performed the garter/bouquet toss and the cake cutting during the reception and also had an anniversary dance winner.  The last song for the evening was Save The Last Dance For Me by Michael Buble.  All of the guests that were left made a circle around the bride and groom and gave them a huge group hug.  Perfect ending to a great wedding!!! Congrats to Melissa , Darren and the entire Fernandez, Newman, Bower and Entin families.  Special thanks to Melissa's mom Christa for making me feel like family.  Always glad to work an event at the Hilton Marina.  The management and staff are always top notch!!!
