Camila and Jorge Chavez celebrated their wedding at the Double Tree by Hilton in Deerfield Beach, FL on 9/26/2014. The ceremony took place at a nearby church then all of the guests arrived at the Double Tree and were treated to a cocktail hour. Approximately 100 close friends and family members enjoyed drinks, appetizers and a mix of folkloric Colombian tunes as requested by the happy couple. During that time I decorated the ballroom with 24 amber colored, LED, wireless up-lights and dance floor lights all provided by Eddie B & Company. As the guests entered the ballroom, I lined up the very excited 15 member bridal party for the grand entrance. Camila chose Don't Stop The Party by Pitbull for the bridal party entrance and Volvi A Nacer by Carlos Vives for her and Jorge's entrance. The first dance was to a mix of Un Amor Para La Historia by Gilberto Santa Rosa with Bailar Contigo by Carlos Vives. Soon after, Camila danced with her brother, uncle, father of the groom and all of the groomsmen to Danubio Azul Vals and Jorge danced with his mom to El Privilegio De Amar by Mijares and Lucero. The toasts were given by Camila's brother Leo, her mom and Jorge's parents along with Paola (maid of honor) and Esteban (best man). After the toasts all of the guests settled in for the first of a 4 course meal. Camila and Jorge did provide me with a play list that included top 40, vallenatos, salsa, merengue, reggaeton and Latin rock. I played a mix of Latin classics between courses then after the last course I bumped it up a bit. This was an electric/dancing crowd that enjoyed the mix I played. The play list was perfect for the group!! As the night went on we did have the cake cutting and the garter/bouquet toss but it really got exciting when we had the "Hora Loca". Camila and Jorge placed a box of party favors under every table so when the Hora Loca started the place went wild!! The closing song for the evening was Glad You Came by The Wanted and that capped an amazing family/latin style wedding that everyone enjoyed. Congrats to Camila, Jorge and the entire Forero, Mujica, Arevalo and Chavez families. Special thanks to the staff at the Double Tree for putting a smile on the brides face once again. Great crew!!
