On Saturday August 6th, 2011 I had the pleasure of playing for Jamie and Jonathan De La Rionda at Hyatt Regency Bonaventure in Weston. The evening started with a cocktail hour of a variety of adult contemporary tunes that were appropriate for a wedding. Then 120 guests were invited to the Florida Ballroom for the reception. When they entered the room they crossed over a small foot bridge and into a room that was decorated by ME productions and designed by the brides' mother (Jacki Katz). Wow! What a presentation! I can't even begin to describe what this room looked like. I introduced the bridal party to "Forever" by Chris Brown and the atmosphere was very festive as each couple made their entrance. Jamie and Jonathan then danced to "It's Your Love" by Tim McGraw & Faith Hill. After a few toasts and a blessing everyone enjoyed the presentation of a variety of stations and great food! After dinner Jamie danced with her father to a classic by Buddy Jewel, "Help Pour Out The Rain", and her step father to "Don't Blink" by Kenny Chesney. Jonathan danced with his mother to "My Wish" by Rascal Flatts. Then the party really got into high gear as the dance floor rolled all night long. From Dion to Flo-Rida they danced the night away unitl 1 AM. The first highlight of the evening was just before the cake was cut, one of Jonthans' teachers from highschool sang the first of 2 songs to the newlyweds and it was awesome! Then after they cut their cake to "How Sweet It Is" by James Taylor, the big surprise was by 7 year old Jillian (sister of the bride), when she took over the dance floor with a special routine, which then transformed into a Flash-Mob dance by over 40 of the guests. This was all planned and co-ordinated by Jacki (M.O.B). It went over BIG!!!! The rest of the night was party & dance and the final song was "Time of My Life/Dirty Bit". I want to thank Jacki (M.O.B), for being so helpful and involved with planning of her daughters wedding, it was a pleasure working with you. Jamie & Jonthan are off on a Cruise, and I am very happy to be a part of this memorable night....DJ/MC Eddie B!
