Wedding Reception at The Ikona Hotel / Fort Lauderdale
On Saturday, April 22nd, 2017 I had the pleasure playing for Ashley and Alexus Frenier and 80 family members and guests at The Ikona Hotel (1 Block from the beach), Fort Lauderdale. The ceremony was held earlier up in Deerfield Beach on the boardwalk deck just north of the Embassy Suites Hotel on A1A. I started the evening by introducing the bridal party to "24 Magic" by Bruno Mars, and then the ladies made their grand entrance to "Still Into You" by Paramore. Their first dance was "I don't Want To Miss A Thing" by Aerosmith. The parents dance were a little different as Ashley & Alexus danced with their mothers and fathers to: Because You Loved Me, Daddy's Perfect Angel, Butterfly Kisses and My Little Girl. Later the garter was remove to "Pony" by Ginuwine and the bouquet was tossed to "Lady Marmalade" by Christina Aguilera and friends. I played a mix of Top 40 dance, old school Hip Hop & Rap, and Club favorites such as Pitbull, Flo Rida and Justin Timberlake. The final song was "Cheers (Drink to That" by Rihana. Eddie B & Company also provide Royal and Cyan Blue LED up lighting and their inflatable igloo photo booth. Thank God the rains held out because this was an outdoor event!
