Wedding Reception at the Island Club/Wellington
I had the pleasure of DJing Michelle and Jason's Wedding on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at the Island Club in Wellington. Jason and Michelle told me they had been best friends for over a decade before deciding to date and get married. The ceremony was held in the clubhouse and the cocktail hour outside on the beautiful pool deck. I played instrumentals to warm up the guests with a few wedding classics mixed in. The four flower girls walked in to Marry You by Bruno Mars. The two ring bearers made a grand entrance in sunglasses to George Thorogood's "Bad to the Bone". The beautiful bride Michelle walked down the aisle to Ruelle - I Get to Love You. After pronounced husband and wife Jason and Michelle exited to Signed, Sealed, Delivered by Stevie Wonder and cocktail hour began. Michelle and Jason picked out some songs they like for cocktail hour like Cover Me Up by Morgan Wallen, Meant to Be by Bebe Rexha and Sky Full of Stars by Coldplay.
After a lovely cocktail hour on the patio, there was a beautiful sunset for all the guests to enjoy. I introduced Mr. and Mrs. Nobles for the first time to "Shut Up and Dance" by Walk the Moon. Then Jason and Michelle had their first dance to Rumor by Lee Brice. Then Jason danced with his mother to Young at Heart by Frank Sinatra. During dinner I played music from John Legend, Jason Mraz, Dave Matthews and Blake Shelton. After dinner it was time to dance! Some of the music I played was Kool and the Gang - Ladies Night, Lizzo - About Damn Time, LMFAO - Sexy and I Know It, Whitney Houston - I Wanna Dance with Somebody, Robin Thicke - Blurred Lines. One of the little girls wanted to hear Bon Jovi - Living on a Prayer and said it was her favorite song! The crowd was a lot of fun. Michelle and Jason cut the cake to the song "Cut the Cake" by Average White Band. The dancing continued to the end with Lil Jon, Juvenile - Back that Thang Up, and Pitbull - Time of Our Lives. The night ended with Closing TIme by Semisonic. I wish the new Mr. and Mrs. Nobles a wonderful life and it was an honor to be part of their special day!
