Raquel and Benjamin Suarez celebrated their wedding at the Jacaranda Country Club in Plantation, FL on 2/23/2025. Approximately 70 close friends and family members arrived to the country club that Sunday morning and were directed to the gazebo for the ceremony. The cocktail hour was held at the clubhouse bar and as I played a mix of easy listening tunes, everyone enjoyed drinks and appetizers. When it was time for the grand entrance, all of the guests found their seats in the ballroom. Raquel chose Beautiful People by Benny Benassi as the intro song for the bridal party and Anywhere With You by Afrojacks for her and Benjamin's intro. The first dance was to In Case You Didn't Know by Brett Young then Raquel danced with her brother Jonathan and Benjamin danced with his mom to What A Wonderful World by L. Armstrong. The toasts were given by Victoria (MOH), Heriberto (BM) and Jonathan (brother of the bride)then all of the guests enjoyed a buffet/station style brunch. The dance floor opened up after the meals and it became an all-out dance party until the end. The cake cutting (no garter/bouquet toss) was performed by the happy couple and I did take a few requests for some latin favorites. One of the highlights of the wedding for me was playing a few throwback freestyle jams that I haven't played an a while. The closing song for the wedding was Last Dance by Donna Summer and that put a bow on a nice Sunday afternoon wedding.
Congrats to Raquel, Benjamin and the entire Suarez and Urgell families.
Special thanks to the staff at the Jacaranda Country Club for always providing extra special service.
