Kearsten and Levi's love story unfolded against the scenic backdrop of the Key Largo Lighthouse in the Florida Keys on June 14th. The sun set over the beach as the couple exchanged vows in a touching ceremony, with the bride gracefully walking down the aisle to the romantic sound of a live string trio. Following the cocktail hour, the families were invited under the tent for dinner as I played a mix of easy listening and 90s pop. After a few speeches and a cake cutting, the guests were invited back out to the dance floor where the newlyweds made their grand entrance surrounded by sparklers, to Precious Love by James Morrison. While the sparklers were still going I quickly transitioned into the couple’s first dance as husband and wife to a performance by the father of the bride and his sisters to Simply the Best by Tina Turner. I then invited Levi’s mother to dance with him to A Man without Love by Englebert Humperdinck also performed by Kearsten’s father. Following the mother and son dance I invited all the couples to join the newlyweds on the dance floor to start things off with a couples dance in honor of the bride’s grandfather to Can’t Help Falling in Love by Elvis Presley. After that it was an open dance floor and we celebrated with the newlyweds to some wedding classics, country, rock and 2000s pop favorites. Later that evening, all the guests jumped into the pool to cool off for the rest of the night. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Hummon and good luck to you guys - DJ ELOW
