Wedding & Reception at the Key Largo Lighthouse

I had a fantastic time in beautiful Key Largo DJing Lexy and Ryan's Wedding on January 21, 2023 at the Key Largo Lighthouse. When at Key Largo, Bob Marley instrumentals, light guitar music and reggae set the mood perfectly.  Lexy and Ryan's Wedding party walked down to the path to the edge of the water where the guests gathered to the song Bridesmaids by Kylie Morgan. Lexy had six bridesmaids in her wedding party! After that Lexy walked down the path to I Choose You by Ryann Darling. The ceremony was picture perfect on the Key Largo sand underneath the palm trees. After pronounced husband and wife Lexy and Ryan walked back up the path to I'm Yours by Jason Mraz. After the wedding the guests hung out on the sand and enjoyed the bar while Lexy and Ryan got sunset pictures. I talked with Lexy's Dad and it turns out he and his brother developed the method of spray tanning my wife uses in her business, Miami Glow Tanning! For cocktail hour I put on Steely Dan, Rob Thomas, and Gwen Stefani to set a relaxing beach atmosphere perfect for sipping a margarita or a beer. Of course I played Kokomo by Beach Boys and Key Largo by Bertie Higgins. When it was time I called for everyone to circle up so the bridal party could be introduced for the first time! The bridal party entered to Chris Brown - Forever and each took a drink before entering the circle! After that Lexy and Ryan were introduced to Bring Em Out by T.I. as Mr. and Mrs. Murray! The couple had their first dance as husband and wife to the Boyce Avenue version of Christina Perri's A Thousand Years. After that I was informed the flower girls who had previously asked to not be introduced had changed their minds! I was happy to put introduction music back on and introduce Abigail and Adilyn to much fanfare and applause! After that we continued with special dances with Lexy dancing with her Father and her new Father-In-Law Greg and Kevin to the song Daddy by Abby Anderson. Next, Ryan danced with his mother to My Wish by Rascal Flatts.

The guests moved under the tent for dinner with wonderful catering including steak and chicken. Key Largo receptions are wonderful because they are not rushed and very relaxed. Ryan and Lexy's lasted seven wonderful hours and every minute was a pleasure. Matron of Honor Meghan, Maid of Honor Ashley and Best Man Cody all gave toasts talking about fun times with the Bride and Groom. After dinner Lexy and Ryan cut the cake to Sugar Sugar by the Archies and Sugar by Maroon 5.  After a few dance songs from Flo Rida - Low to the Cupid Shuffle, the bridesmaids decided it was time to dive in the pool! I played the Barry Harris classic "Dive in the Pool" and they all went in with their dresses on! This made for great pictures and memories! I played songs from Rick Astley - Never Gonna Give You Up, to NSync and Backstreet Boys - Everybody. From Nicki Minaj to Lil Jon and the party went on through the night. Lexy did her bouquet toss to Single Ladies by Beyonce and Dear Future Husband by Meghan Trainor. The bridesmaid who caught the bouquet knew exactly who she wanted to ask her to marry her. The night ended with Lonestar - Amazed.

I wish Lexy and Ryan the best for their future and I thank Lexy's family for creating spray tanning! It was a joy to DJ their wedding.
