Wedding Reception at the Key Largo Lighthouse

Emerald and Artez Powell celebrated their wedding at the Key Largo Lighthouse in Key Largo, FL on 2/28/2023.  This amazing wedding began with a beach-side ceremony where approximately 20 close friends and family members witnessed the happy couple tie the knot.  The cocktail hour was held immediately after the ceremony at the tiki bar.  I played a mix of classic r&b as everyone mingled and enjoyed drinks and appetizers.  Emerald and Artez posed for sunset pictures with immediate family members then I had everyone make a circle on the dance floor for the grand entrance.  Emerald chose Formation by Beyonce for the bridesmaids intro, The NFL Theme Song for the groomsmen intro and I Do by Young Jeezy for her and Artez's intro.  The first dance was to Best Part by Daniel Caesar then Emerald danced with her dad to Cinderella by C. S. Chapman and Artez danced with his mom to A Song For Mama by Boyz II Men.  All of the guests made their way to the reception tent for a buffet style dinner.  Before the meals, Mr. Powell gave the blessing then Jonte'ia (MOH) and Anthony (BM) gave the toasts.  I played a mix of tropical tunes for dinner then I bumped it up a bit after the meals.  The cake cutting ceremony (no garter/bouquet toss) were performed as the evening progressed but it was the tiki bar where most of the guests hung out.  The closing song for the evening was A Good Night by John Legend and that put a bow on a nice Tuesday night Keys wedding.
