Wedding & Reception at the Key Largo Lighthouse
I had the joy of DJing David and Natalie Colembur's wedding at Key Largo Lighthouse on Saturday, June 17, 2023. It was a warm beautiful day as the bridal party walked down the path to the instrumental version of Perfect by Ed Sheeran. After that, Natalie walked down the path to the song I Get to Love You by Ruelle. After the couple exchanged their vows and were pronounced husband and wife I played "Happy" by Pharell and that happy mood remained throughout the night! Even during a brief rainstorm!
After cocktail hour I introduced the bridal party to the instrumental version of Danger Zone by Kenny Loggins. After that I introduced David and Natalie to You Shook Me All Night Long by ACDC. After that David welcomed all the guests and joined Natalie in cutting the cake to "Cake by the Ocean" by DNCE. After that the Matron of Honor Jillian and Best Man James gave toasts. During dinner I played a variety of country, and wedding dinner music like "At Last", "Craving You" and "Meant to Be". After dinner the dessert table was opened and the guests took sunset pictures. You absolutely cannot beat a Key Largo sunset!
Next, David and Natalie had their first dance to Someone by Aaron Lewis. Then Natalie danced with her father to Best Parts of Me by Will Dempsey and David danced with his mother to I Love this Dance by Caleb Beachy. Next, David danced with his daughter and Natalie danced with her step dad to My Girl by Elvie Shane. Natalie has been diagnosed with cancer but wants everyone to know she is going to kick cancer's butt! I had everyone circle up while Natalie entered the tent wearing white boxing gloves to Eye of the Tiger by Survivor. Friends and family put money into a hat for a chance to box with Natalie while I played songs like Fight Song by Rachel Platten and Roar by Katie Perry. In the end hundreds of dollars were raised for cancer research! After that I played Shut Up and Dance by Walk the Moon and we danced the night away! I led the guests in doing the Cupid Shuffle, the Cha Cha Slide and a conga line that went all across the property! Through the night I played songs like Taylor Swift - Shake it Off, Kool and the Gang - Celebration, Usher - Yeah, Tiesto - The Business, Big and Rich - Save a Horse Ride a Cowboy, Pitbull Give Me Everything and Ed Sheeran - Perfect. I also took a lot of requests and everyone had a great time! It rained pretty hard for about 45 minutes so I played "It's Raining Men" and "Rain on Me" to lighten the mood while everyone continued to dance!
The night ended with Van Morrison - Into the Mystic. I am so glad to have been a part of Natalie and David's special day and wish them all the best!
