Wedding Reception at the Key Largo Lighthouse

I DJed the wedding of Chad and Jade Slaymaker on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Key Largo Lighthouse. It was a beautiful day and perfect weather for an outdoor wedding. As we began the bridal party walked walked down the path to the Carnival Steel Drum Band version of "And I Love Her" setting up a tropical vibe for the Keys wedding. After pronounced husband and wife, Chad and Jade walked back up the aisle to the Carnival Steel Drum Band version of Margaritaville. 

Next, the guests enjoyed cocktail hour as I played music from Jimmy Buffett, Morgan Wallen, Chris Stapleton and Taylor Swift. I chose selections off of Jade's playlist that were right for cocktail hour. Next, I introduced the newly married Mr. and Mrs. Slaymaker to Chris Brown - Forever! As the guests gathered around, Chad and Jade had their first dance to Elvis - Can't Help Falling in Love. Next there was a parents dance to the song "Sea of Love" by Robert Plant and the Honeydrippers. I invited Jade and Chad's parents to all come to the dancefloor to dance along with the newlyweds. Next, Jade danced with her father to My Little Girl by Tim McGraw. Next, Chad danced with his mom to Never Alone by Lady Antebellum. 

At dinner both Jade and Chad's father's gave a heartfelt toast to the newlyweds. I played a selection from Carnival Steel Drum Band to set a tropical atmosphere. After dinner, Jade and Chad cut the cake to Natalie Cole - This Will Be. After that I handed out glowsticks to all the guests and they set up a tunnel for Jade and Chad to walk through as I played Yeah by Usher and I Gotta Feeling by Black Eyed Peas. Next, we danced the night away! I played a mix of music from country to rock to dance music from Lil Jon, Britney Spears, Dua LIpa, and Nickelback. We did the Git Up, the Cupid Shuffle and the Cha Cha Slide. Since we are in south Florida I was sure to play Despacito, Danza Kuduro and the Conga! At the end of the night I played Shania Twain - Still the One and Luke Bryan - Don't Want This Night to End.
