Wedding Reception at the Key Largo Lighthouse

I DJed the wedding of Melissa and Chad at Key Largo Lighthouse West Beach on Saturday, September 21, 2024. It was a beautiful day in the Florida Keys as we prepared for the ceremony next to the water when suddenly a rain cloud came over us and got us a little wet! I played music from Bob Marley, Jimmy Buffet and Zac Brown as we waited for the sun to come back out and the guests enjoyed drinks and snacks under the tiki hut. Luckily the sun was shining within 15 minutes and the ceremony began! The sky was clear and the breeze was perfect for the rest of the evening. I played the Game of Thrones theme as the bridal party walked down the path. Next, Melissa walked in to Clair de Lune by Classical Piano Music Masters. After a lovely ceremony Chand and Melissa were pronounced husband and wife! I played the Superman theme as the couple walked back up the path as husband and wife!

Next, cocktail hour continued as I played tropical house remixes of Sweet Child O Mine, Dancing in the Moonlight and I Love You Baby. I also played Morgan Wallen, Beach Boys and music to set the tropical mood. Next, the guests circled up and held up sparklers as I introduced the new Mr and Mrs Simmons! The couple had their first dance to Thank God by Kane Brown. Next Chad danced with his mom and Melissa danced with her son My Wish by Rascal Flatts. After that it was time for dinner from Conch House with a full oyster bar! It was delicious! Best Man Ronny and Matron of Honor Debby gave toasts. I played songs from Rembrandts - I'll be There for You, Bobby Darin - Beyond the Sea and Bobby McFerrin - Don't Worry Be Happy. Next, Chad and Melissa cut the cake to Sugar, Sugar by the Archies. The cake was delicious with strawberries and blueberries. 

Next it was time to dance and have fun in the pool! Guests enjoyed swimming and chilling in the pool as I played some chill house music. I hit up Chad and Melissa's playlist with some great somes from Earth Wind and Fire, Justin Timberlake. the B-52s and Dua Lipa. I also played Despacito, Peppas and Danza Kuduro as the guests danced and had fun! I mixed in some of my favorite dance tracks which were well received. I played the classic Strokin by Clarence Carter by request as well as Pitbull - Fireball and the newlyweds slow danced to Zac Brown - Jump Right In. It was a beautiful wedding and a beautiful night and I am so blessed to have been part of Melissa and Chad's special day!
