On Saturday, October 22nd, 2011 I played for a wedding at La Playa Estate in the Florida Keys (mile marker 76), for Elizabeth and Jordan Silbert. I provided music for the reception only, from 7 PM to 11 PM. The setting was breath taking with the view of the ocean and a historic beach mansion with an extended dock for everyone to enjoy. The catering was provided by The Green Turtle, and the staff was pleasant and fun to work with. I introduced the bridal party to "Morning Song" by Spyro Gyra, and the newlyweds to "Glamorous" by Fergie. Lizz and Jordan chose "Only You Can Love Me This Way" by Keith Urban for their first dance! After 3 toasts and a delicious sit down dinner, everyone was ready to dance. I concentrated on the 80's, Top 40 club hits, and country music for the rest of the night and the dance floor rolled right up to the last song, "Friends In Low Places". Lizz and Jordan cut their cake to "Smile" by Uncle Kracker and Jordan removed the garter to "Keep Your Hands To Yourself" by the Georgia Satellites, while Lizz tossed her bouquet to Single Ladies! One of the Highlights of the evening was when Missy (bridesmaid), had the spotlight for "Teach Me How To Dougie" and it went over huge. This was my first wedding at The La Playa Estate, and I must say it is a secluded piece of paradise in the Florida Keys. Lizz and Jordan will be going on a Mediterranean Cruise to Italy and Greece for their honeymoon. Congrats and Thank you for making me a part of your special day. DJ/MC Eddie B!
