On Saturday January 25th 2014, I had the pleasure of playing for Jodie and Van Muschany and 105 family members and friends at the L.H.P.Y.R.C. The evening started with a cocktail reception outside on the terrace over looking the million dollar yachts. Guests enjoyed appetizers and cocktails while listening to an hour of classic island songs done in steel drum format. Once everyone was seated in the main ballroom I introduced the bridal party to "Party Rock Anthem" and then Jodie & Van to "I Gotta Feeling'. Their first dance was to "Everything" by Michael Buble. Next up were the toasts and best man Bryan took over the mic for about 10 minutes.....followed by maid of honor (S.O.B.), Holly. A polish tradition was performed by the parents of the bride and narrated by their friend Eric. The father/daughter dance was to "Have I Told You Lately' and the mother/son dance was "Through The Years". Later the cake was cut to "How Sweet It Is" and Van removed the garter to "I Want Candy", while Jodie tossed her bouquet to "Single Ladies"! The music was a mix of classic Disco, Top 40 dance, love songs, and a few Polkas! We ended the night with 'Save The Last Dance For Me" by Michael Buble, followed by New York, New York. This was a fun energetic group of guests that truly enjoyed being here on this special evening for Jodie & Van. They are honeymooning in Jamaica....Yeah Mon! All the best....DJ/MC Eddie B!
