Wedding & Reception at the Lighthouse Point Yacht Club
Marie and Michael Averett celebrated their dream wedding at the Lighthouse Point Yacht Club in Lighthouse Point, FL on 9/8/2018. The festivities began with a beautiful outdoor ceremony by the dock. Approximately 80 close friends and family members witnessed the happy couple tie the knot then they were all invited to the cocktail hour on the outside deck. All of the guests enjoyed drinks and appetizers and the live saxophone sounds of our very own Stuey Blue. Chris and myself also took the time to decorate the ballroom with 24 cyan, LED, wireless up-lights and dance floor lights and our signature "Mirror Me" photo booth all provided by Eddie B & Company. As all of the guests entered the ballroom I lined up the 18 member bridal party for the grand entrance. Marie chose Hand Clap by Fitz and the Tantrums as the intro song for the bridal party and Shut Up and Dance With Me by Walk The Moon for her and Michael's intro. The first dance was to In Case You Didn't Know by Brett Young then Marie danced with her dad to Butterfly Kisses by Bob Carlisle and Michael danced with his mom to My Wish by Rascal Flatts. The toasts were given by Sara (maid of honor) and Andrew (best man) then all of the guests found their seats and prepared for a 3 course meal. Marie did provide me with a play list that included top 40, classic rock, country and 90s dance hits. Perfect mix of genres for this fun/up-beat group of guests. After dinner the dance floor filled up very quickly!! I took a few requests for some of the newer group and couples dances as the night progressed then they performed the cake cutting and the garter/bouquet toss. Amazing night had by all!! The last song for the evening was Closing Time by Semisonic as all of the remaining guests gathered on the dance floor with Marie and Michael. Congrats to Marie, Michael and the entire Averett, Harris and Hanft families.
