Good day Bloggers!
DJ Gregg here with this weeks of the Wedding Blog. Today's episode brings us to the Lighthouse Point Yacht Club. This venue is a classic spot with a gorgeous view of the Lighthouse Point Marina.
As the guests arrived, they were invited to the patio for cocktails and finger foods.
I was asked to play some light rock, jazz and even some standards. it really set a smooth tone.
After that we asked all of the guests to make their way to the main ballroom. It was bathed in Pink LED up lighting provided by Eddie B & Company.
I lined up the bridal party for the grand entrance out in the hallway and then introduced all of the couples. They entered with "Don't Stop the Party" by Pitbull. Then Ryan and Angela made their entrance. The song I played was "Bring Em Out" by T.I.
The first dance happen after that. I played "From the Ground Up" by Dan and Shay. It was very touching.
I asked the bridal party to be seated and then I invited the Mother of the bride and the Best man to do their speeches. Then that the priest came up to say a blessing before the meal. We started dinner service shortly after that.
During the meal, I kept it pretty light. I played easy vocal, light Rock and some Standards as requested by Angela and Ryan.
After dinner I asked Angela to dance with her father. "In my Daughter's Eyes" by Martina McBride was chosen. After that, I invited Ryan to dance with his mom. They chose "My Wish" from the Rascal Flatts. It was a perfect song for them.
After that, the party started to crank up! I played a lot of classic party songs, as well as some new tunes. Pitbull was really popular, as was DNCE "Cake by The Ocean". It went over great!
After a little while, I did the garter and bouquet toss as well as the cake cutting. They chose "Sugar Sugar" by The Archies for that.
We kept the party going until midnight!
A great time was had by all.
